Every time I attempted to edit a sketch, it would crash within a few minutes. Instead, it took over 6 hoursĭuring that 6 hour period, I experienced over 20 crashes.

This should have taken 30-60 minutes total.

To do this, I needed to edit a number of Sketches (~10), and then use CAM to generate G-code programs for my mill. Yesterday, as I am way behind on several committed projects, I decided to attempt to complete my most pressing design. Last week I downloaded the latest release & did some testing, and confirmed that many (but not all) of the bugs that I had been experiencing were indeed fixed (!). With the most recent release, the accompanying document described a ton of bug fixes, including several that driven me to stop using Fusion 360 for the time being. I put it aside (along with all other F360 projects) during the past month or so, due to the recent seriously buggy releases - (CAM not reflecting changes made to the model etc). I have a design that I have been working on for several months. I had a very similar (and painful) experience with Fusion 360 yesterday. Please let me know how I can provide more information so that someone could make a suggestion. and have no idea of the proper workflow after I get a timeline error message. I'm constantly having to go adjust dimensions, etc. I am guessing there are errors I'm making b/c my workflow isn't linear and perfect, like most of the tutorials I've watched. I can't make sub-assemblies out of my components for example. Sometimes actions won't work like they did at the beginning of my design. Now as the design near completion I am constantly crashing, I have to save after every step or else I will lose my work.

This is a woodworking design with lots of boards, each with holes, grooves, etc.
#LABRATS ON MAC KEEPS CRASHING PRO#
I have tried to set up my older macbook pro computer to avoid crashing per Fusion 360 advice.Īll 30-50 or so of my different parts are individual components and I've set up a lot of parameters. I've been working on a design for a month - I've followed quite a few tutorials and best practice tips, etc.
